About

I have no medical background. Anything I write about is either from my own experience or research. I am not advocating that anyone should try anything I write about.

My name is Emma. I am a 29 year old female living in sunny Hertfordshire, England.

I was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis (IC) in August 2016 and I’m trying to get my head around being diagnosed with a chronic, incurable condition.

I want to share my experience with others in the hope I can provide reassurance and respite to others that they are not alone. The only thing I am sure of in all this chaos is that IC won’t beat me. I know happier times are coming, I just have to be patient.

This is my first blog. I am not a professional writer unless you count a B in GCSE English. Please don’t expect anything more than good punctuation and being able to differentiate between your and you’re.

I am ALWAYS happy to speak to other chronic illness sufferers. Don’t be afraid to contact me through here!
